A stunning piece of vintage and mid-century furniture in a beautiful cow horn rocking chair by Ercol furniture. The chair consists of a super stylized wooden beech back rest with arm supports while within the centre there are seven spindles. The rocking chair has an elm seat and sits on four tapered legs with cross stretchers running in between that lead to the two sides that create the rocking motion. The chair has been hand coloured with the back rest and legs ebonised in a fabulous black and the chair’s seats hand sanded back to the original elm then French polished that gives an amazing contrast of colour. The chair is commonly known as a cow horn with the name coming from the stylized back rest and has been hand crafted by Ercol furniture with the chair model number 452 with the chair having the Ercol kite mark underneath the seat. The rocking chair is a fabulous pieces of vintage and mid-century furniture with a wonderful look and design that would suit any home or environment.

Condition The chair is in superb condition, with the chair fully restored and has been hand sanded back to the original wood then French polished and waxed and all the back rest and legs hand coloured and lacquered in black.
